Welcome to the Louisville Chapter of the Kentucky Council on Crime and Delinquency
The Kentucky Council on Crime and Delinquency (KCCD) is a statewide organization representing professionals in adult corrections,
juvenile justice, law enforcement, and all related areas of the criminal justice system. KCCD has a proud history spanning
over thirty years of service to the aforementioned disciplines. It holds as its basic premise, the improvement of criminal
justice services to the citizens of the commonwealth. KCCD is committed to improving the lot of the justice professional through
its lobbying effort. With local chapters all over the state, it is in a unique position to promote both regional and statewide
interests. The organization aside from local meetings, holds an annual conference bringing together the membership while presenting
the most recent criminal justice issues relevant to Kentucky. Members are also provided with input in national issues through
its status as an affiliate member of the American Correctional Association.
Our Mission
The mission of the Louisville Chapter of the Kentucky Council on Crime & Delinquency is to promote
the acquisition of knowledge and insight into the ever-changing and diverse field of the Criminal Justice System. We shall
strive to increase the public awareness in this area and encourage the exchange of ideas among those concerned to better our
existing system. We shall also strive to assist and support our criminal justice comrades in time of need and emergency. Furthermore,
we shall function as a nonprofit organization that may allocate monies or resources as deemed appropriate consistent with
our mission.
